How to Request a Hosting Migration Through the Yoho Cloud Client Area
If you are moving your website or hosting service from another provider to Yoho Cloud, you can submit a migration request directly through the Migration Center in your Yoho Cloud Client Area.
Our migration team will use the access details you provide to securely migrate the required data from your existing hosting provider.
Before You Begin
Before submitting a migration request, make sure you have:
- An active Yoho Cloud account
- The destination service you want to migrate to
- Login/access details for your current hosting provider
- The hostname or IP address of your current hosting server
- The username for your current hosting account
- The current hosting control panel type
- The password or other required access credentials, if applicable
Important: Make sure the access details you provide are correct. Incorrect or incomplete credentials may delay the migration.
Step 1: Log in to Your Yoho Cloud Client Area
Log in to your Yoho Cloud Client Area.
From the dashboard, locate the Migration Center option in the left-hand navigation menu under Account.
Click Migration Center.
Step 2: Select the Destination Service
Under Request a migration, you will see the Destination service section.
Select the Yoho Cloud service to which you want to migrate your website or hosting data.
You can either:
- Select an existing service from the available list, or
- Leave the service selection for the migration team to assist with, where applicable.
Step 3: Provide Your Current Hosting Access Details
Under Current hosting access, provide the login details for your existing hosting provider.
Select Your Current Control Panel
Choose the control panel or access method used by your current hosting provider:
- cPanel / WHM
- Plesk
- DirectAdmin
- SSH / Custom
- Other
Enter the Server Details
Provide the following information:
- Host or IP: Enter the hostname or IP address of your current hosting server.
- Port: Enter the applicable port if required.
- Username: Enter your current hosting account username.
- Password: Enter the password if required.
If SSH access is required, you can also use the Add an SSH private key option to provide the required SSH authentication method.
Step 4: Add Additional Migration Details
Under Additional details, you can provide any information that may help the migration team understand what needs to be migrated.
Use the Migration notes field to mention specific requirements, such as:
- Which website or account should be migrated
- Any specific databases or email accounts that need to be included
- Any special migration instructions
- Other information the migration team should be aware of
Step 5: Submit the Migration Request
After reviewing the information you have entered, click:
Send to migration team
Your migration request will then be submitted to the Yoho Cloud migration team for processing.
Security Notice
The access credentials submitted through the Migration Center are encrypted and are only accessible to the migration staff.
For security, you should change the password of your old hosting account after the migration has been completed.
What Happens Next?
After submitting the request, the migration team will review the information and proceed with the migration based on the service and access details provided.
If additional information or access is required, the migration team may contact you for clarification.
